BLOGMAS DAY 18: Baking Christmas Cookies!

18 diciembre

Yesterday we made the yummiest christmas 'buttery goodness' cookies and I wanted to share the recipe we followed. I just searched butter christmas cookies or something like that and read a bunch until I knew which one I wanted to make. Kittencal's Buttery Cut-Out Sugar Cookies had the best reviews so we went with this one, and it also has a recipe for the icing. The only downside is that you have to refrigerate the dough for two hours before baking. But besides that, it only takes you like 10 minutes to put together and bake. They bake in 4-6 minutes. WHAT? Super quick.

So we basically just followed the recipe and cut them into stars, bells, trees and little boots. This is how they came out! (Don't forget lo let them cool completely before icing!)

What I really love about these cookies is that they're barely even sweet. This way you are not disgusted by the sweetness of the cookie AND the icing.
We had way too much fun icing and decorating the cookies, we might of ate some in the process too..

And done! I'll admit it's not my best work, i've actually never iced cookies before this haha but they came out ok, right?
Well, at least they were super yummy! We also made some tea to enjoy with our homemade christmas cookies and let me tell you, I was one happy girl!

Note: They also include a Nutrition tab on the website if your curios but let me tell you that these cookies are in no way 'healthy' for your body. But they can be for your soul. Enjoy yourself, get into the christmas spirit and try not to eat them all!

Thank you so much for reading, I really hope you enjoyed it. Have you made your own batch of christmas sweets yet? Let me know in the comments below!
